Google launches Android P Beta 3 with near-total system behaviors

While waiting for the final version of Android P, Google released a third beta. As explained by the firm Mountain View, it is close to the final version.

A few months ago, Google introduced Android P, the next version of its operating system, which must still have its name of dessert. And while waiting for the stable version, it is already possible to test Android P in beta on compatible smartphones.

Today, by the way, Google releases the almost final version of Android P, or a beta almost similar to the stable version that will be presented later.

A beta version, almost final
"Today, we are deploying beta 3 of Android P, our next step in the preview for Android P developer, this year," said Dave Burke, VP of Engineering. "With the developer APIs already finalized in the previous update, the beta 3 now brings us closer to what you will see in the final version of Android P, scheduled for this summer."

The 3rd beta version of Android P is available today on Pixel smartphones and should also be available on other models whose builders have worked with Google to speed up the update process.

You can install the beta of Android P on one of these 11 smartphones

New features announced for Android P, such as dual-camera application management and notification enhancements, are available on the beta.

However, it is not yet a stable version. But if you want to test Android P, this third beta should be more usable than the previous ones. "The beta 3 is a preliminary version of Android with near-end system behaviors and official Android P APIs," says Dave Burke.
